A beautiful example of a European bark of the late 19th century at a scale of 1:63 (44in/112.1cm).
Stefano was built in 1873 in Rijeka.
When sailing for Australia on her third journey, she wrecked near Point Cloates on the coast of Australia on October 27, 1875. Only two of the 20 crew members survived. Their harrowing tale has been captured in "The Wreck of the Barque Stefano Off the North West Cape of Australia in 1875" by Gustave Rathe.
