This 16th century war galley, originating from the Croatian island of Hvar, participated in the Battle of Lepanto on the 7th of October 1571, between the Holy League and the Ottoman Empire. Lepanto marks the last major engagement in the Western world to be fought almost entirely between rowed vessels. A wonderfully colorful example of the galleys that won the day. The model is at a scale of 1:75 (30.5in/68cm)
