This MarisStella kit of the 1782 brig-sloop HMS Speedy is based on painstaking research that included use of her original Admiralty draughts. To maximize authenticity and historical accuracy, all her details, such as her 4-pounder cannon, have been freshly designed to true-scale.
The 1/48 kit is intended for the intermediate level modeler. Accurate plank on bulkheads make it easier for the less experienced modeler to achieve the original and beautiful hull lines with great precision.
3D-printed decorative parts are included to simplify the process, however they do not need to be used by the more experienced builder. Alternative materials are included. At the relatively large scale of 1:48, she makes for a beautiful 93cm (36.6in) model.
