Taken from the depiction of vessels on a group of Picene sandstone tombstones that, among other scenes, depict sea battles and the ships that took part in them. The Piceni are thought to be a pre-Roman civilization settling the Novilara region of Italy. Like other galleys of the time, she would have been used for both trade and warfare. The model is at a scale of 1:35 (27.2in/69cm)
